Need to spruce up your spring closet?
THESE THREE ITEMS ARE PERFECT CLOSET STAPLES FOR SPRING
By the time you read this March has already ended, everyone is pretty done with winter, excited for spring time and ready to go out and about. We've had a crazy winter weather here in Florida (of all places), but now the warm days are back and we are ready to ditch any long sleeve pieces, sweaters and pull out all the spring fashion.
We’ve been adding a lot of spring related pieces to our store this past two weeks, and found some really amazing pieces that we are loving! They’re all super well made, affordable, and perfect for giving your closet a much needed refresh.
Look no further for easy additions to your wardrobe staples that we are sure you will love.
SPRING STAPLE #1: BREEZY MIDI DRESS
Who doesn’t love a good midi dress, and they’re the perfect closet staple not just for spring!
Midi dresses are an easy type of dress to throw on with heels to dress up, or a pair of flats or sandals to dress down. It's that no-nonsense piece that would have you asking yourself "Why didn't I get it in all the colors" type of dress. This one is simple, yet dependable, it also comes in white and black plus it has smocking at the back for a perfect fit.
Smocking is an embroidery technique used to gather fabric so that it can stretch. Before elastic, smocking was commonly used in cuffs, bodices, and necklines in garments where buttons were undesirable. #fashion101
Other ways to wear this type of dress:
- unbelted with flat sandals
- heels and a statement belt
- layered under a cardigan with flats
- favorite pair of sneakers with a floppy hat
- statement accessories like headbands and matching belts
We are obsessed with jumpsuits for spring, especially when they come in colors as pretty as THESE ONE. We love a good one-and-done kind of piece, and this jumpsuit is perfect for that.
The quality of this other jumpsuit is so good – the fabric is nice and sturdy, doesn’t get wrinkly super fast, flattering sweetheart neckline trimmed with ruffles, and is soft and flexible – and it’s only $49!
The sweetheart neckline gets its name for resembling the curves at the top of a heart. It's also a particularly flattering detail that accentuates and frames not only a woman's décolletage but the also the much admired collarbone. #fashion101
Other ways to wear this jumpsuit:
- strappy heels
- wedges and statement earrings
- espadrilles and a floppy hat
- statement belt and sandals
We love a tunic shirt that is light and breezy, and this solid-colored tunic shirt is just that. It’s incredible quality — a really good, cotton polyester blend, and the lantern sleeves aren’t too dramatic. They’re just the right amount of drama. It comes in a few other neutral colors, but the brown just felt perfect as a middle ground color and a perfect transition color from winter to spring.
This is the kind of tunic shirt you could tuck into a skirt, belt it, make a knot, use it as a beach coverup….it’s so versatile!
A tunic shirt is a loose piece of clothing usually without sleeves that reaches to the knees and that was worn by men and women in ancient Greece and Rome. Also known as a long shirt worn by women that reaches to or just below the hips. #fashion101
Other ways to wear this kind of tunic shirt:
- cut off shorts and sandals in the summer
- white eyelet shorts for spring
- white jeans and flats or mules
- belted and used as a dress with wedges
- or just loose with espadrilles
